My story
Why work with me?
I have 11+ years’ experience researching and writing about a whole range of different topics, both professionally and in my free time. I’ve written countless blog posts, eBooks and guides, created email newsletters, crafted web copy for maximum conversions and also write about travel and food for my own blog.
I love learning, whether it’s about copywriting and content marketing itself (check out my training credentials) or a new subject matter I’ve been commissioned to write about. One of the coolest girls I’ve ever met told me she was “in the mood to learn” at the beginning of our French summer school many years ago and it’s stuck with me ever since. I always aspire to be in the mood to learn and that’s the spirit I bring to my work.

‘Finding my thing’
My story starts in suburban South East London with a childhood spent devouring books and tinkling away at the keys of my beloved shiny black Yamaha piano.
I studied Music at Nottingham University where I performed Debussy on the Djanogly Recital Hall’s grand piano and wrote about Russian ballet music for my dissertation. I knew I loved research and writing and wanted to work in the intersection between creative and commercial, but I still wasn’t sure what that meant for me. A roundabout route of publishing internships, French classes in Lyon (where I met my now-husband!) and a stint working at an asset management company led to an intense and intellectually-stimulating year getting my MSc in Marketing. Finally, I had found my ‘thing’.
Content marketing and falling in love with writing
My marketing career naturally flowed from generalist to content as I discovered what made me tick. Start-ups have been my bread and butter and I spent the last four years of my in-house career heading up content marketing at a London-based eCommerce tech company. There was a good deal of research, blog posts, eBooks, email newsletters and all that juicy stuff along the way. I trained in conversion copywriting and re-wrote the company’s website, and also became a regular speaker on webinars (something that pushed me out of my comfort zone and I ended up loving).
While I worked on my marketing career, in my spare time I started my own blog on travel and food. I also dabbled in writing for Medium and took a course on narrative non-fiction writing, writing articles on all manner of things from what I learnt living with a chef to flâneuses and feminist architecture.
Mothering, moving, freelancing
In 2023 I became a mum to my sweet, blueberry-loving little daughter and a year later we packed our life into sturdy cardboard boxes and moved from London to Madrid.
With the move came the impetus to realise my long-wished-for goal of going freelance. Now, I happily spend my days sitting at my desk overlooking the mountains, working with brilliant businesses to help them tell their own stories through thoughtfully-crafted copy and content.
